DOUBLE EXPOSURE

  • Double exposure refers to merging multiple images
  • The goal is to make them surreal, emotional, or humorous
1.Using the tilt shift effect
-You can blur one of your photo instead of the entire image
-To add this, go to Filter>Blur gallery>Tilt Shift

3.Experiment with simple portrait and details textured
-Combining something plain and something complicated will give you a balanced result

4.Converts your results to black and white
-A lack of color will strengthen the emotions in your double-exposure images
-It gives them a unique depth

5.Work with silhouette
- It would give you a fun and doable challenge

COLOR THEORY
  • Color theory is both the science and art of using color
  • RGB vs CMYK
-Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (CMYK) are the primary colors of printing
-RGB colors is used to display on your computer screen

  • RGB:Additive Color Mixing Model
-Color is created by mixing red, green, and blue light sources of various intensities
-TVs, screen, and projectors use red, green, and blue (RGB) as their primary color

  • CMYK: Subtractive Color Mixing Model
-Color is created by the subtraction of light
-The CMYK color system is the color system used for printing

  • Hue, shade, tint, and tone
-Hue is the most basic of color terms and denotes an object's color
-Shade is a hue to which black has been added. For example:red+black=burgundy
-Tine is a hue to which white has been added. For example:red+white=pink
-Tone is a color to which black and white (or grey) have been added

  • Color harmony
-The arrangement of colors in design is the most attractive and effective way for users perception

  • Monochromatic
-Moonochromatic is hard to make a mistake and create the distasteful color scheme

  • Color Harmony

  • Analogous
-3 colors located next to each other on the color wheel
-Usually one of the 3 colors predominate

  • Complementary
-Opposite on the color wheel
-Can make imagery pop, but overusing them can get tiresome

  • Split-complementary
-Involves the use of three colors

  • Triadic
-Evenly spaced around the color wheel and tend to be very bright and dynamic

  • The psychology of color
-Colors have an extraordinary ability to provoke specific emotions

  • Warm vs Cool

  • Warm color
-Warm color often evokes feeling of happiness, optimism, and energy
-However yellow, red, and orange can also have an attention grabbing effect and signal danger or make you take action

  • Cool colors
-Usually calming and soothing but can also express sadness

  • Black
-Often used sparingly-such as for text-but it works quite well as primary color element (like for backgrounds)

  • White
-Give off an impression of clean, virtuous, healthy
